Metal structured packing

Metal corrugated plate packing is an important milestone in the development of structured packing. The packing is made up of corrugated mesh sheets. The corrugated sheets are inclined at 30° or 45°. The adjacent corrugated sheets are opposite in direction and filled in the tower. When loading, the upper and lower plates are stacked at 90°. It has the advantages of high efficiency, reduced pressure and large flux. The products are often used in vacuum rectification, atmospheric distillation and suction processes for difficult separation and heat sensitive systems.

The metal corrugated plate packing not only has high porosity, large specific surface area, but also has the advantages of high compressive strength, good thermal shock resistance, and high operating temperature.It has higher vapour load capacity as compared to random packing and trays.It provides low liquid hold-up.
